Prime Minister Electric Bike Scheme 2025 Latest Updates

I hope you are all doing well. Today, I’m sharing some important updates on the Prime Minister Electric Bike Scheme 2025, particularly regarding bike distribution, NADRA verification, self-finance applicants, and bank-listed applicants.

If you applied for the Electric Bike Scheme or plan to apply in the next phase, make sure you read this entire article so you don’t miss any important details that could affect your application.

Good News About Bike Distribution

There is a positive update regarding bike distribution. Many applicants were worried about delays and verification issues, but the scheme management has finally resolved several problems.

Those who applied under the self-finance option by mistake still cannot switch to the bank-financing category right now — but they will get another chance in the next phase, InshaAllah.

NADRA Verification – Pending Status Issue Resolved

In the previous update, we mentioned that NADRA had already verified many applicants, but a few were still stuck in pending status.

The main reasons were:

  • Mistakes in the CNIC expiry date
  • Incorrect personal details
  • Wrong information was submitted in the application

The good news:

All applicants with pending NADRA verification have now received emails

The emails include:

  • Reason for the verification failure
  • Permission to edit their application
What you must do now
  1. Open the PM eBike Program Portal
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click the Profile Icon in the top-right corner
  4. Go to Edit Profile
  5. Correct the information that caused the verification issue

Important:
You must correct your details before 5th December.
After that, the edit access will be closed.

Self-Finance Applicants – Important Update

If you applied under self-finance, here is what you need to know:

✔ Pay Orders Have Started

Self-finance applicants will now see their Pay Order option on the portal. You should:

  • Download your pay order
  • Contact your respective company
  • Follow their instructions to receive your electric bike

If the company has already contacted you through email or phone, respond to them and proceed with the payment process.

✔ Upload Proof on Portal

After completing the payment, self-finance applicants must upload:

  • Pay Order copy, or
  • Payment receipt

This will allow you to claim your government subsidy.

Bank-Listed Applicants – Latest Status

For applicants who applied under the bank financing category:

  • The complete process is already displayed on your portal dashboard
  • You will receive (or may have already received) detailed instructions via email
  • Follow the guidelines to move forward with your bike allotment
Delivery Charges Issue – SOLVED

Many applicants complained that some companies were demanding:

  • Delivery charges
  • Processing charges
  • Documentation fees
  • Extra amounts (like 1000 or 10000)

This issue has now been resolved.

Official Update:

You do NOT need to pay any extra amount.
You will only pay the exact price shown on the portal — nothing more.

If any company still demands extra fees, immediately report it to the PE team using the official email (shown on the portal).
Don’t forget to mention your Application Number.

Changing Category from Self-Finance to Bank List?

Many people keep asking the same question:

“I applied under self-finance by mistake. Can I change to bank-financing?”

Current Answer: NO

Right now, you cannot change categories.

But here is the Good News

If you cannot pay the full amount for self-finance:

  • Go to your PE Portal
  • Use the Decline / Cancel Application option
  • Cancel the current application

Then:

✔ You will be able to apply again in the next phase
What if Some Applicants Don’t Take the Bike?

Some selected applicants might cancel their application or decide not to take the bike.

In that case, two possibilities:

  1. Waiting-list applicants may be selected, OR
  2. In the next phase, the government may add these unclaimed bikes to the total quota

For example:
If Phase 1 had 40000 bikes and 8000 people didn’t take their bikes, the government may:

  • Offer these 8000 bikes to waiting applicants, OR
  • Add these bikes to Phase 2

Whatever the final decision is, we will update you as soon as the government announces it.

Final Summary of Important Points
